Description

This building is a barn with a cartshed located 10 metres east of Chidden Farm Cottage. It dates from the 18th century and early 19th century. The barn features a timber frame consisting of four bays and has an aisle on one side. The upper walls are boarded, while the lower walls are made of brick in English bond, complete with a plinth and filled ventilation slots. The roof is half-hipped and thatched. The cartshed, which has three bays, is constructed with flint walls and a tiled roof. This structure is included for its group value.
