Description

This building is a barn and cartshed, dating from the 18th century, located 60 yards north-east of Upper Woodcott Farmhouse. It features a 7-bay timber frame with aisles on all sides and has projecting entrances at the third bay on the north side and the seventh bay on the south side. The structure includes a queen post truss set on a brick base, surrounded by a brick wall. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles, with the hips above the entrances supported by curved brackets. Attached to the middle bay is a timber-framed cartshed that is open to the east, featuring a half-hipped tile roof and boarded walling.
