Description
This building is a barn and cartshed dating from the 18th century, located 50 yards east of Upper Woodcott Farmhouse. It features a five-bay timber frame with aisles on all sides, supported by brick footings and enclosed by a red brick wall constructed in Flemish Garden Wall bond. The structure has a Queen post truss and central openings, topped with hipped tile roofing that is cantilevered on curved heads above the entrance. Attached to the east side is a timber-framed cartshed, which is open to the west and consists of five bays with a tile roof that is half-hipped at the north end and has boarded walling. Additionally, a smaller two-bay unit extends northwards from the west side.
