Description

SU 45 SW LITCHFIELD & WOODCOTT WOODCOTT 4/6 Barn and Cartshed, 50 yds east of Upper Woodcott Farmhouse II

C18. A 5-bay timber frame with aisles on all sides, resting on brick footings and surrounded by a red brick wall (in Flemish Garden Wall bond); Queen post truss, central openings. Hipped tile roofing, hip above the entrance, cantilevered on curved heads. Projecting northwards from the east side is a timber-framed cartshed (open to the west) of 5 bays with a tile roof (half-hipped at the north end) and boarded walling; a similar smaller 2-bay unit extends northwards from the west side.
