Description

This milestone, located beside Orchard House and 50 meters south of Morestead Crossroads, dates from the early 19th century. It is a painted rectangular stone featuring a painted inscribed cast iron plate. The plate is inscribed with the distances of "3 miles from WINTON, 7 from Bps WALTHAM."
