Description
The barn at Long Barn is a structure dating from the 18th century and early 19th century. It is built of rubble flint with brick dressings and features a cob on brick plinths, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The right side of the barn is a 5-bay structure from the 18th century that has been reroofed. The central bay has tall double doors on both sides. On the left, there is another 5-bay barn that has the date 1820 displayed in knapped flints on the wall, although it has an earlier roof. The central bay at the front has full-height double doors, and there is a midstray porch at the rear. The roof is continuous with half-hips, and the eaves rise from the right half to the left half. Attached to the front at the left end is a 2-bay shed made of flint and brick, while the right end features a cartshed with a flint wall and a hipped roof made of corrugated iron.
