Description

This milestone, located on the north side beside the entrance to Winton Lodge, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of painted stone with a cast iron inscription plate. The stone has a square section with a rounded top, and the front plate is inscribed with '8 MILES from WINTON, ½ to STOCKBge'.
