Description
The stables and coach house, located 75 meters northeast of Twyford Lodge, date from the 18th century and were altered in the 19th century. They are constructed of brick and feature an old plain tile roof. The building is L-shaped and forms the third side of a courtyard, with a cottage that has been rebuilt and is not included in this listing.
The stable block is a single-storey structure with three bays. The central bay slightly projects and has a pediment with a toothed architrave, beneath which are double doors. There are three cross windows with rubbed brick arches in one bay, while the other bay has similar cross windows on either side of the stable door. The eaves are toothed, and the roof is hipped, featuring hipped dormers with loft doors on either side of the central bay.
At one end, set at right angles, is a two-bay coach house, which has double doors in each bay, toothed eaves, and a hipped roof.
