Description

A pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century, located in Twyford near Searles Hill. The cottages are built of brick with a slate roof. They are two storeys high and have three bays. A prominent feature is the plinth with brick pilasters between the bays and at the ends, the end pilasters being wider. These pilasters support a deep entablature which has arches cut into it above each bay. The side bays have segmental-headed 12-pane sash windows above, and a three-light round-headed window with a central casement and small sash windows on either side. The central bay has blind openings. The gables are kneelered, and the roof is low-pitched with a central ridge stack.
