Description

Tempus House is a late 18th-century house on the north side of the A272 in Bramdean. It is constructed of brick with blue headers, a slated roof, and rendered brick stacks. The house is a square, three-bay building with a lean-to addition at each end, exhibiting a symmetrical facade.

The central doorway features a 19th-century four-panel door with top glazing, set within a doorcase of fluted columns supporting a plain pediment. There are 16-pane sash windows on either side of the door, dating to the 19th century, with a Dutch arch and lowered sill. The first floor has a band of courses of blue headers, above which are three 12-pane sashes. The roof is hipped, with overhanging eaves and gable stacks on the hips.
