Description
Little London Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features a timber frame with plaster infill, encased in flint with brick dressings, and has a thatched roof. The original 17th century structure consists of two bays, with an additional 18th century bay added to the left when it was encased. A further outshot bay was added to the right in 1948. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has a four-bay front. The door at the left end of the right 17th century bay has been replaced by windows. All windows are late 20th century leaded casements. There is a staircase light on the intermediate level at the right end of the 17th century house, below the stack. An eyebrow dormer with a 20th century casement is located over the left timber-frame bay. The roof is half-hipped and outswept to the right, featuring a large ridge stack that was rebuilt in the 20th century.
