Description
Godwins Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features a timber frame encased in brick and has an old plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with an outshot to the right. There is a high brick plinth.
Between the centre and left bays, there is an early 19th-century plain doorcase with a six-flush panelled top-lit door, which has a gauged brick head. The facade includes three early 19th-century two-light casements with gauged brick camber heads that incorporate blue headers. In the lean-to, there is a 19th-century planked door and a two-light casement.
On the first floor, there is a raised blue header string course. Above this, there are three irregular 18th-century three-light casements and a two-light casement situated above the door. The roof is steeply pitched and half-hipped, featuring a ridge stack at the inner end of the right bay, along with external, projecting gable end stacks.
