Description

The retaining wall in front of Hinton Ampner Place dates from the 19th century. It features panels made of brick and flint. The wall includes flint panels and has a central gateway with brick gate piers topped by pineapple finials. There are brick-on-edge steps leading down from the house. At the right end, the wall rises twice and transitions into a segmental brick wall that curves outward.
