Description

Bottle Ale Cottages is a short row of three cottages, now reduced to two, dating from the 18th century, with 20th-century restoration. The walls are made of coursed flint with brick quoins and cambered arches. The south end wall is constructed of brickwork from the 20th century, while the north gable features exposed framing. The roof is thatched, with a catslide at the rear and eyebrows above the semi-dormers. The east front has two storeys and displays a window arrangement of 1.2.2. The windows are casements, with the upper ones featuring old leaded lights. The original doorways have been filled in and replaced by windows, with the entrance now located at the rear.
