Description

Mill House is an early 19th-century house, originally a mill house and incorporating part of a demolished mill. The house has walls of flint with brick dressings, with a stuccoed front that mimics stonework. It features a plinth, rusticated quoins, eaves fascia, architraves, cills on brackets, and a hipped slate roof. The south front is symmetrical, with two storeys and three windows, featuring sash windows in reveals. The front door is framed by a plain classical doorway with a pediment-shaped beam resting on deep pilasters with panelled reveals, a decorative fanlight, and a four-panelled door (the top two panels glazed). A rear section and an eastward extension connect to the remains of the water mill. The mill's flint walls form part of a garden wall, while later 19th-century brick walls extend to the north and are covered by a tile roof.
