Description
19 and 20 Village Street are late 18th century cottages located on the south side of Village Street. Number 19 has two storeys, featuring one window on the first floor and two on the ground floor. Number 20 also has two storeys, with two windows on the first floor and three on the ground floor. There is a single-storey, one-window pent extension on the left side of number 19. Both cottages have moderately low pitched, slated roofs with eaves soffits. The walls are colourwashed brick, and they feature sliding sash windows with glazing bars. Number 19 has a half-glazed door beneath a small gabled hood, while number 20 has a door with six fielded panels under a bracketed cornice hood. These cottages are part of a group that includes The Queen Head Public House and numbers 1 to 7 and 16 to 20 Village Street.
