Description
Sheet House is an early 18th-century house located on the north side of Village Street in Sheet. It is two storeys high and features five windows. Originally designed as a three-bay villa, it had one outer bay added to either side, likely in the early 19th century when the windows were also altered. The house has a moderately high pitched, hipped, double-span tiled roof and a brick dentil cornice. The walls are made of red brick with random blue headers in the outer bays. The early 19th-century recessed sash windows have glazing bars and are set under stuccoed lintels. The entrance features a six-panel door, with the upper four panels glazed, framed by a wood doorcase supported by slender columns and topped with a dentilled cornice hood. At the rear, there is an old extension with tile-hung first floor, along with other newer rear extensions.
