Description

This is an early 18th-century barn situated 30 metres south-west of the farmhouse at Hinton Woodlands Farm. The barn is timber-framed and has weatherboarded sides set on a brick plinth, with a corrugated iron roof and a tiled porch. It comprises nine bays, including added hip bays at each end. A projecting tiled midstray porch is located in the 6th bay from the farmhouse and provides access with double doors. The 2nd bay from the farmhouse is open. Doors or first-floor windows are located in the remaining bays. Internally, the roof structure features queen struts with straight braces and cambered ties.
