Description

The School House is a cottage that was once used as a school, dating from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with early 19th-century cladding and has undergone late 20th-century restoration. The timber frame is exposed on the south side and the north-west end, while the other walls are constructed of brickwork in Flemish bond with blue headers. The building has a hipped thatch roof, with eyebrow dormers and one gabled dormer that has a tiled roof surround. The north-east front elevation has one storey and an attic, with two above four windows. There are 20th-century brackets above a stone octagonal Gothic pedestal.
