Description

The Grange is a late 18th and early 19th century house. It is constructed of painted brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with rubbed flat arches. A rear wing is of flintwork with brick dressings, featuring a gable with exposed framework. The west wall is tile-hung, and the roof is tiled with brick dentil eaves. The south front elevation was originally symmetrical with two storeys and two windows, incorporating a central doorway which has been filled in. It was later extended by one window. The windows are sash windows, with ground floor French windows featuring narrow side panes. A doorway on the east side has a Tudor arch and a French door. The house is double pile with a rear wing; the remaining elevations are of a vernacular style. A porch is located at the east end, serving as the main entrance.
