Description
Brook Lodge and Weedon Cottage is a Grade II listed house that was originally three separate cottages but is now two. The building dates from the 17th century and features a timber frame, with extensions added in the late 18th century, early 19th century, and 20th century. The walls are made of painted brickwork, some of which is in Flemish Garden Wall bond, and include a mix of flat and cambered arches. The oldest section has an exposed frame with brick infill. The roof is tiled, gabled, and half-hipped. The structure includes a small timber-framed house with a taller south wing from the 18th century and an even taller west wing from the early 19th century. The original part is one storey with an attic, while the extensions are two storeys high, featuring irregular window arrangements. The windows are casements, and there are plain doorways leading to Brook Lodge, which was formerly two cottages, and a gabled porch for Weedon Cottage.
