Description
This is a barn located 40 meters northeast of Hazeley Farmhouse, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded, set on a plinth made of reused dressed stone, flint, and brick. The roof is thatched and has sections of corrugated iron. The barn has five bays, with outshot bays at the right end. There is a central tall midstray porch with a hipped roof and full-height doors. The barn is aisled to the right of the porch, and the roof is thatched from the porch to the right end. The left side of the roof is half-hipped, while the right side is hipped and sweeps down, showing a change in ridge height in the right bays. Inside, the barn has a queen post roof with curved bays to the ties and aisle/wall-plates, along with curved wind-braces.
