Description

This is a barn located to the south of Shepley Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble gritstone and has a stone slate roof. In the 19th century, the side walls were raised and the pitch of the roof was lowered. The north elevation features irregular later openings, including a full-height cart entrance with quoins. Inside, there is one cruck truss with later tie beams and one upper cruck truss.
