SK 16 SE PARISH OF HARTINGTON NETHER QUARTER FRIDEN 8/100 (West Side) Station House II

House. c1825. Coursed squared limestone with gritstone dressings and rusticated quoins. Slate roof. Stone gable end and ridge stacks with plain decorative bands. Plain stone eaves band. Two storeys, three bays. South-east elevation - central panelled door with stone porch. To either side, 2-light chamfered mullion windows. Dripmoulds over with returned stops. Above, two similar windows, with dripmoulds. Over door, single light window in flush surround. All fenestration iron small pane windows with intersecting tracery at top and four pane central casement. Probably built for High Peak and Cromford Railway, founded 1825. Possibly Friden Station- master's house,
