Description
These are two cottages located to the west of Highfield House, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of rendered stone with painted gritstone dressings and feature a stone slate roof, with stone ridge and gable end stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of single bays.
On the eastern side, there is a quoined flush doorcase with a flush window surround that was formerly fitted with a mullion. Above this, there is a 2-light flush mullion window with small pane casements. On the western side, there is an early 19th-century doorcase with incised jambs and corner circles, topped with a flat stone hood. Adjacent to this, there is a 2-light flush mullion window with a plain sash in a flush surround. Above, there is another 2-light flush mullion window featuring 19th-century casements.
