Description
Newhaven House Farmhouse is a building that was originally an outbuilding for the Newhaven House Hotel, dating from around 1795. It is constructed from rendered stone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring leaded flashings, and there is a central brick ridge stack. The farmhouse has two storeys with irregular window arrangements.
The main façade includes a large flat-headed opening with quoined sides, which has been blocked up with brick. There is a panelled door to the north and a large 20th-century top-hung casement window to the south. To the south side, there is a tall, narrow quoined doorcase with a plank door and a plain rectangular fanlight above it. A plain string course runs around the building. Above this, there is a 20th-century top-hung casement window to the north and a plain sash window to the south. Additionally, there is a brick lean-to on the north side, which has a panelled door and a 20th-century window. This building is included for its group value only.
