Description
This sundial, located 10 metres southwest of the porch of All Saints Church, dates back to the medieval period and was modified in 1752. It is made of stone and features a large, moulded octagonal base that curves inward at the top, resting on a four-stepped square stone plinth. At the top, there is an octagonal copper dial inscribed with 'Mr Joseph Smedley, Church Warden 1752', and it includes a scrolled gnomon. It is reputed to be a re-used, upturned medieval font.
