9/7 Garage and stable immediately to 20/12/74 west of Fair House Farmhouse

Farmbuilding now garage and stable. Probably C17 core with altered walls. Internal timber framing, coursed gritstone rubble, stone slate roof. Elongated range of 3 cruck bays on sloping site. 2 storeys at downhill end, 1 storey at uphill end. Left-hand part breaks forward. Large C20 boarded double door to left under wood lintel, right-hand bay open-fronted, other openings, some altered. Interior: 4 cruck pairs. Two downhill trusses set high in walling, tie beam sawn off in left truss, both have collar below ends abutting diagonal-set ridge. Similar low truss to right set on stylobats and with soffit-mortices to collar and windbraces to single purlins. Fourth truss set in right gable has crossed apex.
