Description

Brookhouses is a barn that has been converted into a house, dating from the 18th century, with a 19th-century wing added to the north. The building is constructed from coursed gritstone rubble and features large quoins, with gritstone dressings and a stone slate roof. There are stone gable end stacks. On the south elevation, to the east, there is an original doorcase with a massive quoined surround, while to the west, there are two 20th-century windows. The west elevation of the 19th-century wing includes a glazed-in arch and various irregularly placed 20th-century windows. This building is included for its group value.
