Description
Ivy Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and features a stone slate roof, along with stone gable end and ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a double fronted south elevation. The central doorcase has a segmental, arched top, with a small paned fanlight above the door. On either side of the door are 19th-century plain sash windows. Above these are three-light flush mullion windows, also with plain sashes. The north elevation, facing the street, features a central semi-circular headed two-storey stairwell window with glazing bar sashes. On the east side, there is an inserted door and a three-light recessed and chamfered mullion window, while the west side has a similar four-light window. Above these, on both sides, are three-light chamfered mullion windows.
