Description

This is a late 18th-century house, originally used as a house with a weavers' workshop, and now serving as a shop with living accommodation above. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with flush gritstone dressings, and has a slate roof with rendered gable end stacks.

The building has three storeys and a two-bay front. A central doorcase has large jambs, though the door itself is modern. Twentieth-century shop windows are located on either side of the doorcase. Above these are two three-light flush mullion windows - originally four-light windows - with a blocked fourth light located next to the gable wall on each side. Similar windows are located above, and these are also blocked. A large blocked opening is situated between the upper windows and is covered by a timber lintel.
