Description

The Bridge is a bridge built in 1837, constructed from coursed dressed gritstone. It features a depressed arch with a projecting keystone and is approximately four yards wide. Above the arch, there is a stringcourse, and the bridge has low parapet walls with dressed copings. A plaque on the roadside of the north wall indicates that it was erected in the year 1837 by architect Samuel Worth and builder George Bamford.
