Description

Three cottages, originally built in the late 18th century and later converted into a single dwelling. They are constructed of coursed gritstone rubble with painted flush stone dressings, and have a stone slate roof. The chimneys are stone, located at the gable ends and along the ridge. The cottages have two storeys. Each former cottage originally had a two-bay front. The southern cottage features a central plank door with a thin painted surround. To the left of the door is a three-light flush mullion window, and to the right, a single light window. Above these are matching windows in the same arrangement. The windows are now mostly sashes or casements. The central cottage has a central door, now covered by a 20th-century glazed porch. To the left is a two-light flush mullion window, and to the right, a three-light flush mullion window. Above these are similar windows. The northern cottage has a 20th-century glazed porch covering the left-hand door. It has two two-light flush mullion windows to the right, which were lowered in the 20th century. Above these are two two-light flush mullion windows.
