Description
Matleymoor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with a 19th-century addition. It is built from coursed gritstone rubble, featuring gritstone dressings and quoins, and has a slate roof. The building has stone gable ends and off-centre ridge stacks, and it is two storeys high with three bays.
On the south elevation, there is an off-centre 20th-century stone glazed porch that covers the original door. To the east, there is a 19th-century bay with a 20th-century window. To the west, there are two windows: a four-light recessed and chamfered mullion window and a three-light similar window, both fitted with modern casements. Above these, there are two three-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows. In the 19th-century part to the east, there is another 20th-century window. At the rear, there is one blocked two-light recessed and chamfered mullion window.
