Description
The Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been converted into one dwelling, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone with sandstone dressings and features a plain tile roof with a brick ridge stack and a gable end stack.
The building is two storeys high. On the south elevation, from right to left, there is a 2-light square section flush mullion window with casement lights, and a similar window located above it. There is a blocked doorway with a lintel, and next to it, a doorway with a lintel that has a 20th-century glazed door. To the left, there is a 3-light chamfered mullion window, and further left, a window with a dressed stone surround and a sliding Yorkshire sash. Above, there are two irregularly placed windows, both with dressed stone surrounds and Yorkshire sliding sashes.
