Description
The Church of All Saints is a church that dates back to the 12th century but was almost entirely rebuilt in 1882. It is constructed from coursed limestone with gritstone dressings and features stone slate roofs, including a stone-coped west gable and a gabled bellcote at the west end. The church has a two-cell plan comprising a nave and chancel, along with a north vestry and a south porch.
The south side windows have square heads and are designed in the Decorated style, while the east window is a two-light design with similar tracery. There is a single lancet window on the west side, and no openings on the north side. The entrance is through the south porch, which includes a south doorway in the Norman style; this doorway is a much-restored feature from the 12th century. Inside, there is a plain neo-Norman chancel arch and a plain boarded ceiling. The church also contains a Perpendicular font with crude incised decoration, a six-branch brass candelabrum in the nave, and stained glass in the east window that is dated 1883.
