Description
Tilcon Laboratory and outbuilding is a farmhouse and outbuildings dating from the 18th century, now serving as a laboratory and outbuilding. The structure is built of coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and features a plain tile roof with brick gable end stacks. It is two storeys high and has a west elevation with three bays. On the left side, there is a doorway with a stone lintel. To the right of the doorway, there are three pairs of 2-light square section flush mullion windows. On the first floor, to the left, is a 2-light recessed chamfer mullion window, followed by a single light window with a square section flush stone surround, and another similar 2-light window to the right. Attached to the right are lower 19th-century outbuildings that include three round-arched doorways and three irregularly spaced windows.
