Description
Tilcon Offices, located at Ballidon Quarry, is a former farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. The building is constructed from coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and features a plain tile roof with stone coped gables and kneelers. It has brick stacks at the gable ends and stands three storeys tall, with angle quoins. To the west, there are two-storey additions from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The south elevation of the main block is double fronted and consists of two bays. It has a central doorway with quoins and a lintel, which is now fitted with a 20th-century glazed door. On either side of the doorway, there are 2-light square section flush mullion windows. Above the door, there are two similar windows, and above those, there are two smaller windows. The north elevation features a five-tier stair window.
