Description
Manor Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling, dating from the 17th century. The left two bays are constructed of coursed limestone rubble banded with ironstone, while the right two bays are made of coursed limestone rubble. The building features a thatched roof with brick stacks and stands two storeys high with an attic, comprising four bays in total.
The doorway in the left bay has a plank door with a wooden lintel, which continues over a two-light casement window to the right. In the third bay from the left, there is a three-light casement window with a wooden lintel. A 20th-century doorway in the third bay from the right features a wooden lintel, a four-centred wooden arch, and a plank door, along with two two-light casement windows to the right. On the first floor, there are two-light casement windows with wooden lintels. All windows are fitted with old iron casements and leaded panes. The left gable end is coped and has kneelers.
Inside, the cottage features stop-chamfered beams and an open fireplace that has been partially filled in with 20th-century brick.
