Description
Pedley Fold Farmhouse is a former collection of farm buildings that has been converted into a farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century with some 20th-century alterations. The structure is built from coursed squared buff sandstone rubble and features a Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge, and three stone chimneys. It consists of two parallel ranges of buildings that were once separate but are now connected by a one-storey range.
The front of the farmhouse is two stories high and has three bays. The left end bay includes a semi-circular window below and a lancet window above, both featuring Gothick lead glazing in an arch. The right end bay has similar windows. The central bay contains a rubble segmental arch that was once a cart entrance but is now blocked, with a semi-circular headed light above it. Each gable has pairs of lancets with leaded lattice glazing. The rear range of the building serves as a shippon.
Inside, there are no notable features. The farmhouse was formerly a coachhouse and farm buildings associated with The Old Vicarage and is listed primarily for its group value.
