Description
The Methodist Chapel, dated 1847, is built from rubble limestone with sandstone dressings and features a slate roof with stone coped gables and plain kneelers. The main facade is made of squared sandstone with flush quoins and is a single storey. The west elevation has a central gabled porch with a doorway that has a shouldered segmental arch and a plank door. Above the doorway is a foundation stone inscribed with "Wesleyan Methodist Chapel 1847." On either side of the porch are round-arched windows that have slightly projecting keystones and Gothic glazing bars. The front area is enclosed by a rubblestone retaining wall topped with flat copings and iron railings.
