Description
Inglenook is a house that was originally two single-bay cottages, built in the early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble gritstone and limestone, which includes earlier quoining. The building features a coped north gable and moulded kneeler end ridge stacks, with the stack at the north end made of brick. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and has a mid-wall break.
The house is two storeys high and has two bays. The north end has 2-light flush mullioned windows, with the upper floor window featuring low attic lights above the first floor opening, creating a mullioned and transomed appearance. The south end has 19th-century openings with stone frames, including one 18th-century sash window and a 19th-century casement window above it. There are two doorways; the southern doorway has massive jambs and a keyblock but is now blocked to form a window. The northern doorway is a plain opening with a four-panelled door that has glazed upper panels.
