Description
Slack Hall is a house built around 1835, constructed from ashlar gritstone with a hipped slate roof and stone side wall stacks. The building is two storeys high and features a three-bay front, with the central bay slightly projecting. A central portico supported by Tuscan columns leads to the entrance, which has a glazed panelled door flanked by narrow lights. Above the portico is a plain entablature and a moulded cornice, topped by a low parapet wall with a shallow central pediment. The front has a shallow stone plinth, plain sash windows on either side of the portico with two chamfered panels below, and three plain sashes above. A plain sill band runs across the two side bays, and full-height pilasters are present at both corners of the building.
