Description

Nelson Gate Lodge is a mid-19th century lodge located at the Duncombe Park Estate in Sproxton. It is constructed from hammered coursed sandstone and features a Westmorland slate roof with stone stacks. The building has a square plan and includes an outshut at the rear. It is a single storey structure with a four-panel door that has a divided oblong fanlight above it. To the right of the door is a two-light casement window with lead lattice. The lodge is adorned with flat hoodmoulds that have end-stops and has a hipped roof topped with a pair of diamond-set stacks. The lodge is included in the listing for its group value within the estate.
