Description

The sundial located in the grounds of Duncombe Park dates from the first half of the 18th century and was created by Nost. It is made of limestone and features a sundial on a decorative urn, which may be a later replacement. This sundial is supported by a winged figure of Old Father Time. The sundial is referenced in Hussey's work on Duncombe Park published in Country Life in December 1957, as well as in Pevsner's book on Yorkshire: the North Riding from 1966.
