Description
Burn Close is a house that is part of a terrace, built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from finely tooled and margined sandstone and features a wide raised attic with incised render. The roof is pantiled, with a stone ridge, coping, kneeler, and a rendered stack. The building has three storeys and an attic, with one bay. On the ground floor, there is a garage door, and above it, there is a 16-pane sash window on each floor. The attic includes a wide modern four-light casement window in the raised section and a small skylight in the renewed roof to the left. The left end has coping, a kneeler, and a stack. The entrance is located at the rear, leading onto Brig Garth at first floor level, featuring a Victorian four-panel door surrounded by pilasters and a bracketed hood. There are also scattered small sash windows. This house is included in the listing for its group value.
