Description
Brigholme is a house and shop that is part of a terrace, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from finely tooled and margined sandstone and features a pantiled roof with a stone ridge, coping, kneeler, and stacks. The building has three storeys and two bays. On the ground floor, there is a garage on the left and a shop window on the right. Above, there are two 16-pane sash windows on each floor. The building has a cornice banded centre and end stacks, with the right end featuring coping and a curved kneeler. The house entrance is located at the rear, facing Brig Garth, at first floor level. It includes a 20th-century six-panel door set within a surround of pilasters and a bracketed hood, along with scattered small sash windows. A flight of stone steps is located on the right return.
