Description

The coach house and garages at Thimbleby Hall, located approximately 100 metres south of the hall, date from the late 18th century. They are constructed of ashlar stone and feature a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high with three bays, and there is a one-storey, three-bay addition to the right.

The coach house has a plinth, and the central bay projects forward, featuring a large full-height round-headed arch with a continuous impost band and a blind tympanum. The outer bays contain large central round-headed full-height panels with 16-pane sash windows set on stone sills at the ground floor. Above these panels, the first floor has square openings with 12-pane casements and stone sills. An eaves band runs along the top, and the central bay is topped with a plain pediment. The roof is hipped.

The recessed one-storey addition has a central bay that also projects forward, featuring a central square pier. To the right, there are wagon doors, and to the left, there is glazing with seven vertical glazing bars. The left bay contains wagon doors, while the right bay has two board doors. The central bay of the addition has a plain pediment with stone coping.
