Description
THIMBLEBY OSMOTHERLEY ROAD SE 49 NE (east side, off) 3/84 Coach-house and garages at Thimbleby Hall 31.3.70 approximately 100 metres south of Hall GV II Coach-house and garages. Late C18. Ashlar, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with 1-storey, 3-bay addition to right. Coach-house: plinth. Central bay breaks forward and has large full-height round-headed arch with continuous impost band, and a blind tympanum. Outer bays have large central round-headed full-height panels with 16-pane sashes with stone sills to ground floor. Panels are flanked to first floor by square openings with 12- pane casements and stone sills. Eaves band. Central bay has plain pediment. Roof hipped. Recessed 1-storey addition: central bay breaks forward, with central square pier, to its right wagon doors and to its left glazing with 7 vertical glazing bars. Left bay has waggon doors. To right bay are 2 board doors. Central bay has plain pediment with stone coping.
