Description

No. 47 South End is a house dated 1798, with later alterations. It is constructed of ashlar stone and has a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The corners feature chamfered quoins. There are four steps leading up to a central half-glazed door, which is framed by chamfered quoins, a lintel, and a double keystone. This door is flanked by four-pane casement windows. On the first floor, there are three four-pane sash windows. All windows have stone sills and plain lintels. The central lintel on the first floor displays the inscription "1798." The house features projecting cornices above the quoins, plain kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks.
