Description
Brereton Corner is a house that dates from the 18th century, with later alterations and incorporation into a likely 19th-century structure. It has undergone modernisation and reroofing in the 20th century. The building is constructed from dressed and hammered sandstone and features renewed pantile roofs.
It is two storeys high, with the later part on the left having three windows, while the earlier part is a single storey with a gable wall. There is a door on the right end of the later section, and both floors have small-pane casements and horizontal sliding sashes, all with painted timber sills. The gable wall displays a three-light, eighteen-pane horizontal sliding sash set beneath a tooled lintel. The building has coped gables and block kneelers on both sections, along with end stacks on the later roof.
On the right return, there is a horizontal sliding sash with five six-paned lights, accompanied by a six-pane casement at the left end. This property is included for its group value.
