Description
Ledson House is a house from the mid to late 18th century that has undergone some alterations. It is built from finely-tooled coursed sandstone and features a pantiled roof with stone coping and an old brick chimney stack. The house has two storeys and two irregular bays. The entrance is a left-of-centre four-panel door, which is sheltered by a gabled wooden hood supported by shaped brackets. To the left of the door is a 16-pane sash window, while the right side has an inserted fixed light and another 16-pane sash window. On the first floor, there are two 12-pane sash windows, all of which have stone cills. The roof has been lowered, but the original higher pitch is evident in the higher coped gable end wall on the left, which still features the old chimney stack. Additionally, there are two small skylights and a small kneeler.
